Jordan Crossing Metropolitan District (the “District”) is a Title 32 Special District that has been established for the purpose of planning, designing, acquiring, constructing, installing, relocating, redeveloping and financing of street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, and safety protection improvements of the District, and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Service Plan for the District approved by the Town of Parker on March 20, 2006, as it may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).
The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit of the residents and taxpayers of the District. The District is located in the Town of Parker, Douglas County, Colorado. The District is a quasi-municipal political subdivision of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the Town of Parker or Douglas County do not provide.
The District may incur a maximum debt of $1,710,000. Debt may be payable from any and all legally available revenues of the District, including general ad valorem property taxes and fees as described in the Service Plan.
The District may assess a maximum mill levy of 35 mills, as adjusted after January 1, 2000, to take into account legislative or constitutional imposed adjustments in the method of calculating assessed value, to repay such debt.
The District must file an Annual Report to the Town of Parker and Douglas County Clerk and Recorder.
The District’s boundaries overlap with the boundaries of: Douglas County; Developmental Disability; Douglas County Schools; Town of Parker; Urban Drainage & Flood Control; Regional Transportation District; South Metro Fire Rescue Protection; Parker Water & Sanitation District; Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality; Douglas County Libraries; and Urban Drain & Flood South Platte.
